Barry Wohler
(Tri-sport Bird Island Native, MN High School Hall of Famer)
Wohler is a 1981 Bird Island-Lake Lillian graduate and former Dodgers minor leaguer. He pitched a no-hitter for single-A Vero Beach on July 17, 1985. In the offseason, he took classes at St. Cloud State University, and played on the SCSU Huskies basketball team that fell one win short of the Division II Final Four. In high school, he led the Bird Island Lake Lillian Panthers to back to back championships in football and basketball in 1980 and 1981. He went to the University of Minnesota where he played basketball and baseball. He was a member of the 1982 big ten basketball championship team.
